Jordan and Peter go Dutch with 3DD

17 April 2007

3DD Entertainment has struck a deal with SBS (Netherlands), selling a collection of series centered exclusively around one of the UK’s most publicized, and talked about celebrity couples, glamour girl Jordan (aka Katie Price) and 1990’s Australian pop star Peter Andre. Series one is scheduled to air on the Dutch commercial TV channel 'Veronica' from next month.

Since meeting and falling in love ‘on screen’ on ITV1’s hit reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’, Jordan and Peter have consistently made headline news. Produced for ITV1 and ITV2 by Can Associates, When Jordan Met Peter (2005) 6 x 30’, Jordan and Peter Laid Bare (2006) 10 x 60’, Jordan and Peter: Marriage and Mayhem (2006) 6 x 60’ and Katie and Peter: The Next Chapter (2007) 8 x 60’, blends comedy with documentary, voyeurism and celebrity surveillance.

As worldwide distributor, 3DD holds the TV (excluding UK/North America), DVD and new media rights to the entire Jordan and Peter collection.

“We are thrilled to have acquired this series, as it fits the profile for our channel Veronica perfectly, and we very much look forward to launching Jordan and Peter in the Netherlands, ‘ said Rozan Hamaker, Manager Acquisitions, SBS Netherlands.

“We are delighted to have appointed 3DD as our International Sales Agent. They have a great understanding about celebrity-driven programming and we are confident that Katie and Peter’s compelling series will definitely be ‘compulsive viewing’ for broadcasters worldwide!” added Neville Hendricks, Managing Director, Can Associates TV Limited.

In light of the ever increasing demand for programming that gains access into celebrities lives, Jordan and Peter’s no holds barred series will keep Dutch audiences riveted and entertained for hours. As celebrity couples go, they are fast becoming one of the UK’s hottest exports!”
commented Suzanne Bull, Sales Executive, 3DD Entertainment.
