3DD Sponsors Release Conference
30 May 2007
3DD is pleased to announce that it will be sponsoring the upcoming conference on 40 years of Release. During the conference high calibre speakers from the worlds of politics, social reform and music will engage in lively discussions on the important issue that nearly 40 years after the Misuse of Drugs Act, experts agree on one thing – UK drug policy isn’t working.
The conference will be a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with the following speakers at this very special anniversary event:
Helena Kennedy QC - criminal barrister and social reformer
Simon Jenkins - Guardian and Sunday Times columnist
Joe Boyd - record producer (Jimi Hendrix, REM, Pink Floyd, Billy Bragg)
Simon Hughes – MP
This special 40th anniversary event will also include a fascinating look back at how and why Release was started, by its founder Caroline Coon and well known US drug policy activist Ethan Nadelmann.
This is a terrific opportunity to see some fantastic speakers and support this famous charity on its 40th birthday which 3DD is proud to be sponsoring.
