3DD Production’s music series London Live is set to appear in the virtual world of Second Life, announced Will Ennett, Sales Manager/New Media, 3DD Digital.
London Live will be the first music show to appear on Second Life’s cyber channel, Virtual Life. TV. Available to Second Life ‘avatars’ (persona’s in the virtual world), citizens will be able to pick up a television set which includes a selection of TV channels, one of which will be dedicated solely to 3DD’s hit music series.
The deal was brokered by 3DD Digital, with Second Life creative agency Rivers Run Red.
The Internet based world of Second Life, is built and owned by its residents. Since opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively, and today is inhabited by over 8 million residents from around the globe.

London Live, known in the UK as The Album Chart Show, is currently into its third series, airs on Channel 4 and E4, and is presented by top BBC1 Radio DJ Sara Cox. Showcasing some of the biggest album releases, the series has featured performances and interviews with major music artists such as Paul Weller, Pink, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, and many more. London Live is filmed in High Definition in front of a live audience at the legendary music venue Koko.
