3DD Re-commissioned To Produce Fourth Series Of The Album Chart Show For Channel 4

10 December 2007

UK terrestrial Channel 4 has re-commissioned 3DD to produce a fourth series of the live music show The Album Chart Show.

With filming scheduled for late January 2008, the fourth series will broadcast February through March and brings the series to a total of over 60 episodes.

Shot in High Definition in front of a live audience at the legendary music venue Koko, The Album Chart Show (aka London Live) is presented by top Radio DJ Sara Cox.  Each episode showcases some of the biggest album releases, featuring performances and interviews with major music artists.

3DD has recently produced a further two Album Chart Show specials featuring David Gray and Orson.  Other specials to date have featured selected artists such as Primal Scream, The Killers, Beck, Kanye West, Hard-Fi, Sugababes, The Charlatans and Jamiroquai, who have all been invited to play an extended set.

Neil McCallum, Head of Music, Channel 4 said: "In less than two years, The Album Chart Show has successfully established itself amongst the artists, the record industry and our audience alike. In that time, we've seen the show grow in so many ways and we're delighted to be bringing it back to our screens early next year for what looks set to be its best run yet."

Dominic Saville, CEO at 3DD said: “The series is just going from strength to strength domestically and internationally.  We are obviously thrilled to be filming the fourth series and look forward to continuing this fruitful relationship with Channel 4 over the coming months.”

The Album Chart Show was commissioned for Channel 4 by Neil McCallum, Head of Music, Channel 4.  The series is produced by 3DD Productions.
