3DD's Music Programming Makes Strong Soundwaves With International Broadcasters

3DD Entertainment has inked a series of deals with international broadcasters on a selection of documentaries and concerts featuring some of the world’s leading artists.

Having obtained the rights from 19 Management Ltd, 3DD has notched up a substantial number of sales for Spice Girls – Giving You Everything (60’), which captures the recollections of the most successful girl group of all time through their own personal accounts.

Shot in High Definition, this candid and insightful documentary has been picked up throughout Scandinavia by TV4 (Sweden), TV Norge (Norway), Danmarks Radio (Denmark), MTV 3 (Finland), and Icelandic Television Company (Iceland).  It was also snapped up by TV3 (New Zealand), RTE (Ireland), VPRO TV (The Netherlands), TVR (Romania) VIASAT (Baltics) and many more including a raft of in-flight deals.  19 Management directly handled the sales of the documentary to the UK (BBC1), Canada (CTV & CHUM TV) and Australia (Foxtel).

The indie also closed deals on documentaries Respect Yourself – The Stax Records Story (60’ & 120’) which features an impressive line-up of soul legends, with the BBC (UK), TV3 (Spain), Rainbow (Latin America) and Viasat (Scandinavia), marking the 40th anniversary of the world renowned record label as well as Andrea Bocelli – A Child Destined To Sing (60’), which got picked up by NRK (Norway) and TV2 (Denmark). 
The exclusive Double Jab production also aired on BBC (UK) on Christmas Day 2007.

In addition, a selection of live artist concerts was scooped up.

Distributed by 3DD on behalf of Live Nation, Mariah Carey: The Adventures of Mimi, sees Mariah Carey take her big show on the road to celebrate a successful 15 year career and was snapped up by RFO and MCM (France), MTV Italia (Italy), VH1 (UK), SABC (South Africa), DRS (Switzerland), WHD (Japan) and CCTV (China).

Finally, Control Room concerts including Rihanna: Live From Montreal were acquired by VH1 (UK), SABC (South Africa), MTV Italia (Italy), Sogecable (Spain), RFO and NRJ 12 (France), Musique Plus (Canada) and more.

3DD's 'Spotlight' spin-off series of the Album Chart Show, sponsored by Tesco Entertainment, gets 17 episode extension on Channel 4. Chart-topping star Usher films his own Album Chart Show Special.
