3DD signs Peace deal in France
04 September 2009

3DD has struck a deal with a French pay-TV service to screen this year's Peace Day concert.
Canal+ has picked up the event, which will be held at Le Grand Rex in Paris on September 19 and then broadcast across France, Switzerland, other French-speaking territories and 20 African countries on September 21.
In the UK, Cinemoi, the recently set up UK-owned French movie service, will be taking the concert and airing it at 20.00, while Swiss Com owned service i-concerts and 20th Century Fox-owned Latin LAPTV will carry the show for the third consecutive year.
Artists set to perform at the event include Lenny Kravitz, Kasabian, Keziah Jones, Ayo, Olivia Ruiz and Charlie Winston.
The concert is the brainchild of documentary filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, who also founded the Peace One Day movement 10 years ago. As part of the deal with Canal+, Gilley's documentary The Day After Peace will be screened before the concert on September 21.
"This concert and Peace One Day’s ongoing initiatives are there to empower individuals around the world to become involved in the peace process," said Gilley.
