3DD Partner with Northstar Media

27 March 2006

3DD Entertainment, one of the leading distributors of music and live event programming, high profile documentaries and independent films, and U.S. based Northstar Media, a strategically diverse television programme distribution company, announced today that the two companies have partnered on a distribution arrangement whereby Northstar Media will exclusively represent 3DD’s music catalogue consisting of 1000 hours of programming in North America for broadcast and VOD, with key titles such as “An Evening With James Blunt” and “Kaiser Chiefs: Live From San Francisco”. Reciprocally, 3DD will exclusively represent all the music titles from Northstar Media’s catalogue in the U.K. and Eire, including “Black Eyed Peas: Live From Sydney” and “RUSH R30: The 30th Anniversary Concert Special.”

“This partnership with Northstar gives 3DD and its clients a strong base in the USA at an important time for the company’s growth whilst establishing a new source of content for the U.K. market,” said Lara von Ahlefeldt, Director of Music and Development, 3DD.

“Partnering with 3DD allows us to exploit an important music catalogue in the territory we know best, and at the same time, bolsters the presence of our catalogue in the U.K.,” added Pat McDonald, Northstar Media’s Co-President. “This new arrangement will also strengthen our position with our suppliers.”
