3DD Entertainment has secured worldwide TV and DVD rights (excluding North America), to a raw and riveting 90-minute ‘rockumentary’ film featuring Kiefer Sutherland entitled I Trust You To Kill Me. The deal was brokered with 3DD by William Morris Independent, Management 360, and attorney James Feldman.
Directed by Manu Boyer, I Trust You To Kill Me, tracks Kiefer Sutherland (star of hit TV show ‘24’) as a less than qualified road manager as he takes his indie record label act, Rocco DeLuca & the Burden on their first international tour.
Travelling with only their instruments and living on a shoe-string budget, the film explores the personal lives of the artists on the road, and also reveals an unknown side to Kiefer Sutherland. He knows all too well the compromise an artist must make to attain their goals while staying true to themselves, exposing a sense of compassion towards the band that most major label executives never possess.
The film captures the excitement and commotion of staged and unstaged performances, improvised interactions between the band, fans and locals, as well as behind the scene back stage antics as they travel from Los Angeles, to London, Dublin, Reykjavik and Berlin.
“I Trust You To Kill Me has all the elements that make up the best and most talked about of music documentaries, but with a very entertaining addition. I am thrilled that 3DD has been given the opportunity to present the film to buyers at MIPTV and I am certain that few will be able to resist.” commented Rachel Job, Head of Acquisitions and Marketing, 3DD Entertainment.
A Motion Picture Group / MRB Production, I Trust You To Kill Me is a First Independent Pictures Presentation, in association with Ironworks Music. The film has been released theatrically in the US and has aired on VH-1 (US) and Sky One (UK), to high acclaim from both critics and fans alike.
